No court date yet for ZEWU/ZESA case
No date has been set as yet for the court to hear the case in which ZEWU pressed criminal charges to ZESA management for reneging on paying salaries increments to employees.
ZEWU is waiting for the announcement of the court date when the matter will be heard. ZEWU last month pressed criminal charges against ZESA management by reporting the case to the Police Licensing Inspectorate as the employer had contravened the Labour Act by refusing to pay workers salary increments as per the NEC agreement and Statutory Instrument of 2012.
The matter was referred to the Attorney General’s Office and what is now left is for the trial date to be set.
